SEW_07 | Threading bobbin using bobbin winder
Sewing | How to thread bobbin using bobbin winder
Hi, Everyone! My name is Michele.
Today I am going to demonstrate to you
how to wind a bobbin on Brother’s A150 bobbin winder.
First, I slot in a spool of thread into the spool pin & secure it with the spool cap.
Holding the end of the thread, I hook it into the thread guide.
Go under the bobbin winding thread guide,
Go under the pretension disk and pull towards the bobbin winder.
Then I tidy up the previous winding by threading the end through a hole on the side of the bobbin.
The previous end of the thread seems to be blocking the way, so I used my cutter to push it out of the way.
After pushing through the previous end of the thread,
I tried threading a fresh thread through.
This thread is frayed,
so I trimmed it .
When both threads are through, I made sure the threads are facing upwards.
and slide the bobbin into the bobbin winder shaft
with the loose ends facing upwards
then push right.
Pressing the start button to begin winding, I held the end of threads above the bobbin for 2 secs.
I stopped the machine & cut off the end of the threads
to prevent them from getting tangled in the machine.
Press start again to continue winding.
When you have wound enough,
press start/stop button.
Then push the bobbin winder shaft to the left to release it.
Cut the thread using the built in cutter at the bottom of the bobbin winder seat.
Slide the bobbin cover latch to the right to remove the bobbin cover.
Slide the end of the thread through the slit on your left.
Place the bobbin into the bobbin case.
Then trim the excess thread on the built in cutter on the left.
