Motion 5 | How to start using Motion 5

Part 1: How to start a new Motion Project with Project Browser.

Open up Motion 5.

You will see Project Browser pop up on your screen. On the left panel, select blank project.

On the middle panel, by default Motion project icon should be selected, let it be because we are going to create a new Motion project to work on.

We can always convert them to either transitions or generator from a Motion project.

Then on the upper right, there are some drop down menus for us to select the details of our videos.

The first is Preset. Under Preset, select Broadcast HD 1080, if you want to use it for HD youtube upload. For Frame rate, select, 30 frames per second, that is 30fps.

For Duration, 20 seconds . To the right of duration input, select seconds in the drop down menu. Click Open at the bottom left of the Project browser and let’s begin.
