Scones | Bacon and Cheese Scones Recipe From density.coffee

I tried the recipe from density.coffee linked below.

Original recipe video below.

Today I made bacon & cheese scones

using a recipe shared by Mr Richard Mayston on his channel density.coffee.

The scones turned out really soft and crumbly on the inside

with crispy, golden crust on the outside.

Oh! and I added some bacon too and this is how I made them.

Into 300g of plain flour,

I added 4 teaspoons of baking powder.

1/4 teaspoon of fine salt

1/4 tsp of ground paprika

Sieve sieve sieve

Grated 60g of frozen butter in,

and mixed well with a spatula.

Stir in 90g of cheddar cheese.

Once again frozen to keep everything cool.

Adding crispy bacon chilled in the fridge

and give everything a quick stir before adding

a cup of spring onion chopped.

Give them a good stir.

Add in 270ml of milk to bind everything together.

All that’s left to do is stir until no loose flour is visible.

Now that the dough is done, I buttered two muffin pans generously and

distributed the dough equally in each cup.

I used a rather small muffin pan so I ended up with 12 smaller scones!

Topped each cup of dough with frozen grated cheddar cheese.

and into the oven they go!

I am using bottom lit gas oven, so I increased the temperature to 200 degree celcius,

and baked them for 50 minutes.

If you’re using an electric oven, bake for 24 mins no higher than 180 Celcius.

50 minutes later this is what came out of my oven.

Thanks for watching and Thanks to Mr Mayston for the recipe!

See you in the next video~!
