Hi, Everyone, my name is Michele. Welcome to my channel, michtintin.
Today I am making French Toast for breakfast!
Let’s get started!
Get some butter. I buy butter by a kilo so I need to store them
in plastic bags like this to prevent oxidation.
So whenever I need a bit of butter I just slice a thin piece to use.
Then bundle the bag up again to put into the fridge.
Next, beat the egg.
Add salt for taste & it turns the eggs watery so it’s easier for the bread to absorb.
Salt also makes the egg turn slightly darker in colour, try it if you don’t believe me!
Heat up the pan.
While the pan is heating up, soak up the beaten egg with a slice of bread.
Just watch the eggs disappear into the bread.
Oops! I just realise there’s a fruit fly on screen while editing. Pretend you didn’t see it!
Melt some butter on pan.
I expected it to be a calm sizzle but instead it was an angry sizzle!
Oops! My pan is too hot. Maybe if I swirl it a bit it will be better.
I think I should lower the heat.
Yes, finally a calm sizzle.
The bread and eggs will brown slowly.
Let it dance around the pan soaking up all the delicious brown butter.
Listen to the sizzle, if you don’t hear anymore sizzle, it’s ready to turn over.
No more sizzle, turn!
Wow! I know what I’m talking about! Look at that!
Dance the bread around the pan!!
