Pasta | Pasta in tomato sauce topped with parmesan cheese & coriander butter.
Hi Everyone, My name is Michele and today in my cooking diary. I’ll be cooking. Pasta in tomato sauce topped with grated parmesan cheese and garnished with garlic coriander butter. I start off by preparing the sauce.
Sliced 1 whole onion into smaller pieces.
Then open up a can of tomato puree. Since I’m not using all of it,
I pour half of it into a glass bottle.
Next I’m going to cook the pasta. Boil a pot of water and a teaspoon of salt.
Fan out the pasta into the pot once the water is boiling.
Let it cook for 6 minutes.
Next we will make the sauce.
Add a bit of cooking oil into the frying pan.
add the sliced onion into the hot oil.
Keep stirring the onions until they are a bit translucent.
Pour in some tomato sauce. I added some water into the can to clean out the can.
Then added in some more tomato puree into the sauce from the glass bottle.
Then I added some salt and sugar to taste.
While stirring it to keep it from burning at the bottom.
Next, I added the pre-cooked pasta into the frying pan, to finish cooking in the sauce.
Keep stirring it until the it fully cooked.
Once done, I place them in a bowl for my immediate consumption.
Before eating, I have to make it look good on screen.
So I added some black pepper.
Grated some parmesan cheese on top.
I like how they melt as they hit the pasta.
Then added some garlic & coriander butter at the side. A recipe I learnt from heston blumenthal on youtube.
So I thought I must add it into my pasta.
Let me give it a taste.
